‘Dialogues with Scotland’s History of Domestic Abuse: A one-day symposium’

June 3, 2014

20th June, Glasgow, University of Glasgow
“Speakers and delegates at this event will examine the history of domestic abuse, the interrelationship between historians’ work and that of researchers working in other disciplines, and the implications of such academic work for contemporary practice and policy. Academic analysis of the prevalence, attitudes surrounding, and experience of domestic abuse over the nineteenth, twentieth and early twenty-first centuries will stimulate discussion of the ways in which historical findings can serve to inform future provision, practice and policy in the field.”
