Violence against Women – Developing a Local Response
The North West Violence Against Women Implementation Group, in partnership with WCVSN, are holding 3 events where we will be asking you: ‘How can staff from voluntary sector organisations and public sector organisations work together, at a local level, to respond to VAW in our communities?’  This event is for on-the-ground staff from all organisations, agencies, and groups working in communities in the North West. Using an interactive and highly participative format by the end of the session you will have:
-A better understanding of VAW in NW Glasgow, what  Glasgow is doing about it a citywide level, and how it impacts on the work of all organisations working in communities
-Developed a joint understanding of what you would like to achieve by working together locally in response to Violence Against Women
-Identified the best way of working together at local level to do this
-Identified next steps

SWC Referendum Conferences
The SWC will be hosting a series of Referendum events across Scotland. This will be an opportunity for women across Scotland to engage with YES Scotland and Better Together representatives in their local area. They will take place between 10am – 1pm.
Dundee, Saturday 12th April; Livingston, Friday 2nd May; Aberdeen, Saturday 31st May ; Inverness, Saturday 19th July; Greenock, Saturday 2nd August; Shetland, Friday 15th August
We are also holding referendum conferences for young women which will take place –
Dundee, Friday 11th April 5 – 7pm;  Inverness, Friday 18th July 5 – 7pm ; Glasgow, Saturday 9th August 10am – 1pm
