Become A White Ribbon Speaker

August 8, 2012

[Stirling] 28th September, 10am – 4.30pm, Raploch Campus, near Stirling.

As Scotland’s first White Ribbon Local Authority, Stirling supports the White Ribbon Scotland Campaign to involve men in Scotland to speak out against violence against women.

Join the White Ribbon Scotland Network with our free Training Programme, developing a network of speakers to build capacity and to equip men with the skills to engage other men in working to end violence against women.

The network’s aim is to encourage debate surrounding violence against women in Scotland.

We will train men to have the skills, knowledge and resources to go out into the community to give talks and run workshop sessions. White Ribbon Scotland will support the activity of the speakers, and will communicate its message through the network.

If you are a professional working in prevention of violence against women, an education worker, a long-term campaigner or just a man that wants to play a part in ending violence against women and gender inequality, then you could become a valuable addition to the White Ribbon Scotland Campaign’s activists.

To book a place on the free training day on the 28th Sept contact info@whiteribbonscotland.org.uk
If you cannot attend this date but would like yourself or your colleagues to receive the training, just let us know: info@whiteribbonscotland.org.uk

  1. I had asked previously for some further information regarding your campaign, but did not appear to have received a reply. I appreciate that the main thrust behind behind the campaign is indicated in the information above but I had been looking for more specifics. I would be grateful therefore for some more details possibly relating to meeting venues, audience type etc.
