LGBT Parenthood Stories

June 11, 2012

When you’re lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) becoming a parent can sometimes seem an impossible dream. Knowing how others manage can be an enormous help.

Following recent workshops by LGBT Youth Scotland and the LGBT Centre for Health and Wellbeing, the Equality Network is asking LGBT people who are parents, and others who are trying /have tried to become parents, to share their experiences in a new e-book.

This project focuses on Scotland but responses from LGBT people elsewhere are welcome. To share your story: either answer the questions in this survey or simply email your account to Heather Walker at LGBTebook@aol.com, in strictest confidence, by Friday 13th July. If you’d prefer to share your story in person, we invite LGBT parents to talk with Heather Walker at Pride in Edinburgh on 30th June or Glasgow on 14th July. Your name and others will not be included in the e-book unless you wish it.
