Survey On The Public Perceptions Of Lads’ Mags (Brunel University)
June 6, 2012From Brunel University:
This survey, on public perceptions of lads’ mags, is being conducted as part of doctoral level research into body politics and the sexualisation of popular culture. It asks for the opinions of both men and women in terms of how they view lads’ mags and the positive and/or negative influences these magazines can have on wider society. The survey pays particular attention to sexuality, the representation of women and the construction of masculinity, whilst also debating regulatory issues such as whether the magazines should be age restricted. The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous.
