  1. Personally: Breast Awareness must form a part of every day breast screening media and promotion work.

Breast Screening takes place every 3 years for women “of age” and thats it. ALL women should know what signs and symptoms to look for, and how to present to their GPs and request screening and yet its not done.

If you are reading this, do you know there are multiple signs and symptoms to look for and not just lumps? do you know what can cause or indicate breast cancer risk?

This breast awareness work was done by one large cancer charity a few years ago ( I ran the project) but its seems that free community education work has tailed off again due to someone making the wrong funding decision.

Lets hope this review involved practitioners more heavily in breast awareness work as someone has to do it and we trust them.

Breast cancer must be tackled more pro-actively and less subservantly.
