Women’s Learn To Ride Bike Project

The Forestry Commission continue to support Backbone’s initiatives in Scotland with the launch of the 2nd Glasgow Women’s Learn To Ride Project.

Providing you with the opportunity to learn to ride a bike and work towards a qualification in Cycle Ride Leaders if that is what you would like to aim for, where you can then give back your skills to your community.  We provide the bikes, helmets, bike coaches and you provide the fun!  Come dressed with outdoor clothing and suitable flat shoes (trainers).  We have 14 bikes in total.

The project is for women over the age of 16, priority is for women who have never ridden a bike and / or who lack confidence in riding a bike.

Saturdays from 1pm – 4pm on
21st April, Glasgow Green, People’s Palace
5th May, Glasgow Green, People’s Palace
19th May, Drumpellier Park, Visitor’s Centre
2nd June, Kelvingrove Park, Kelvingrove Museum back entrance
16th June, Pollock Park, Car Park Near Burrell Collection
30th June, Strathclyde Park
