“Open Letter to Lord Coe urges action to prevent abuse of women as Games reach one year to go mark.  Just in advance of the one year to go mark before the London Olympics (Opening Ceremony is 27 July 2012), a UK coalition of women’s organisations will launch a new report this Friday 22 July on the connections between major sporting events and violence against women.  The report will be accompanied by an open letter to Lord Coe as Chair of the London 2012 organising committee which calls on the London Olympics authorities to act now to ensure that London 2012 is safe for all women. ”
