Screen Debates: Playground

November 23, 2010

[Glasgow] 2nd December, 10.30am – 1.30pm, The Bridge, 1000 Westerhouse Rd, Easterhouse, Glasgow G34 9JW.

Women’s Support Project, along with Glasgow East Violence against Women Implementation Group and The Nest Foundation, Los Angeles, presents ‘Playground’.

Playground is about the sexual exploitation of children and young people.

This excellent documentary is a must to see from filmmaker Libby Spears and Executive Produced by George Clooney, Grant Heslov and Steven Soderbergh. From sex tourism, to the sexualisation of girls, the documentary explores the nature and context of sexual abuse and exploitation and the grooming of girls. We see first-hand interviews with victims, their pimps, and their abusers. Underlying the film is the ongoing mystery story of Michelle.

Following the screening there will be an audience/panel discussion and LUNCH.  The event is FREE. For a Booking Form or for more information contact Janette De Haan 0141 552 2221 or email janettewsproject@btconnect.com
