[Edinburgh] 25th September, Ratho, Edinburgh. Scottish Women’s Aid FREE event for young people aged 11 to 18, to explore issues around children’s rights and domestic abuse.

Children 1st Conference: Violence Against Children – Have We Had Enough?:
[Glasgow] 29th September, The Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow

Children In Scotland Seminar: Children’s Rights: Spice Them Up:
[Edinburgh] 8th October, Edinburgh. This one-day seminar will introduce a toolbox of participative training methods for use with children and young people to raise awareness of their rights.

Parenting Across Scotland Conference: Parents On The Breadline – The Links Between Poverty, Parenting And Life Chances:
[Edinburgh] 10th November, Edinburgh Corn Exchange. …examining how efforts to improve parenting and eradicate poverty have to work in tandem to ensure all Scotland’s children have the same life chances.

Anti-Bullying Week Competition:
15th – 19th November. National Anti-Bullying Week 2010 is designed to raise awareness of anti-bullying initiatives among children, young people and adults across the UK and Ireland. To mark the event, respect me, Scotland’s Anti-Bullying Service, has launched a national competition based around the theme, ‘what bullying means to me’.
