Glasgow YWCA: Networking and Information Brunch

November 2, 2009

We would like to invite you to our Winter Networking and Information Brunch which will be held on Tuesday 24th November from 9.30am to 11.30am.

The Glasgow YWCA supports and empowers young women to develop their potential, gain a sense of belonging and self-worth, and participate at all levels of society. We work with women of all backgrounds and ethnicities experiencing various barriers to fulfilling their potential: addictions, homelessness, low confidence, lack of formal education, violence against women, mental ill health, childcare responsibilities, immigration status etc.

What?
This event will provide an opportunity for all to find out about available services, increase cross referrals, share expertise, resources and contacts, and meet potential partners.

There will be short presentations about the Aspiring Young Women programme which has just started at the YWCA (a partnership with Glasgow West Regeneration Agency), our upcoming evening programme for young women, as well as presentations from other agencies supporting women to fulfil their potential and opportunities for discussion.

For who?
For anyone who would like the opportunity to promote their work and find out about other projects.

We would like to meet and share information with as many organisations, voluntary and statutory, supporting women or girls in whatever way that may be: employment, education, social services, family support, health, youth work…

Where?
At the YWCA, 3 Newton Terrace, Charing Cross, G3 7PJ

We hope you can make this event. Previous delegates have found them very useful in making links with other organisations; thus benefiting their client group.

However if you cannot make it please pass this invitation on to your colleagues.

Please confirm your attendance with Heidi or Gabrielle on 0141 248 5338 or by emailing gmacbeth@ywcaglasgow.org
